Comments sought on board nominees

WELS Human Resources Director Roger Crawford is seeking comments on nominees brought forward to serve on a variety of synod boards or commissions. Each of the volunteer positions is at the end of its term—all but one of the nominees are current incumbents.
On the Board of Directors for WELS Church Extension Fund, two positions are uncontested:
- Pastor—Rev. Richard Schleicher, Flower Mound, Tex. (incumbent)
- Layman—Mr. Daniel Habhegger, Merrimack, N.H. (incumbent)
Three names have been brought forward to serve in two positions for laymen on the Board of Directors for WELS Investment Funds, Inc.:
- Mr. Max Wenck, East Troy, Wis. (incumbent)
- Mr. Kenneth Zehm, Tucson, Ariz. (incumbent)
- Mr. Jerold Vomhof, Watertown, Wis.
On the Board of Directors for the WELS Foundation, two positions for laymen are uncontested:
- Mr. Eugene Braam, Mankato, Minn. (incumbent)
- Mr. Donald Schuppe, Memphis, Tenn. (incumbent)
Comments regarding any nominee should be submitted by April 7 to Roger Crawford at roger.crawford@sab.wels.net
The comments will be forwarded to the Synodical Council, which will vote on the nominations when it meets April 25-26.
