WELS in the news

The Dec. 2 issue of The Saginaw News ran a story on St. John Lutheran School, Saginaw, Mich., which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. 

The Dec. 9 issue of the Star Tribune featured a story about students at West Lutheran High School, Plymouth, Minn., who traveled to the Great Western Lutheran Shootout, a basketball tournament held last weekend at California Lutheran High School, Wildomar, Calif. Other WELS high schools attended, including Nebraska Lutheran High School, Waco, Neb.; Arizona Lutheran Academy, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Evergreen Lutheran High School, Des Moines, Wash.

The Dec. 15 issue of The Daily Republic ran a story on Great Plains Lutheran High School, Watertown, S.D., and what impact a new Lutheran high school would have on the town—and on Great Plains.
