New video answers questions about WELS Investment Funds
Filed Under: WELS Connection, WIF
A five-minute video outlining the services and benefits of WELS Investment Funds (WIF) is being sent to all congregations, area Lutheran high schools, and WELS-related organizations Oct. 1. WELS Investment Funds provides professionally managed investment portfolios for WELS congregations and affiliated agencies.
“There are many WELS congregations that don’t know about WIF,” says James Holm, president of WELS Investment Funds. “The DVD introduces WELS Investment Funds to congregations and lets them know about the collective benefits of pooling our talents and resources.”
The video features commonly asked questions about WELS Investment Funds. Answers to these questions are provided by WIF board members—all volunteers with strong financial backgrounds. “Between the six board members there’s over 150 years of financial and investment experience,” says Holm. “By investing together, WELS ministries share in the benefits of the board’s experience as well as lower cost, institutionally-priced financial products.”
Congregation leaders, including endowment committees, church councils, and other groups responsible for making investment decisions are encouraged to watch the video. Congregations can also view the video in Leadership Resource Toolbox of WELS Connection. For more information about WELS Investment Funds, visit www.welsfunds.net.
