Correction: Synodical Council looks to the future

Correction: The Nov. 16 article outlining the Synodical Council's planning discussion included a purpose statement that will guide the Synodical Council as it carries out this work. Unfortunately, one important word was omitted from the statement. Please note that the word "and" should have been included after the word "abroad." It should read as follows:
"The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod exists to give all glory to God by upholding and defending the truth of the Holy Scriptures as articulated in the Lutheran Confessions, and by providing a means for congregations and their members to extend the reach of their God-given mission of proclaiming the gospel in Word and sacrament through joint mission efforts at home and abroad and through the training of pastors, teachers, and staff ministers."
